Well I dont even know where to begin with this week. well lets see. My mom was in the hospital for 5 days cus she had 2 surgerys. she was only supposed to bet here 2 days but got a fever. Work is insain.... very much so. I had Sean's bachlor party, didnt go like I had origanly planned. As most of the guests went camping. But i think they (sean, scott, brian, & mike) had a good time. MTG Booster drafting. Oh and I get called home from work cus my mom/nick tossed roger out of the house. While I was packing his stuff I guess Roger stole a car (yes insain), tryed to run from the cops and ended up in jail. ::sigh:: so um. yeah. how was your week?

This year I've been busy!

Last Tuesday I helped crossslash hide a body (-173 points). In July I gave _cyrin_ a life-saving blood transfusion (50 points). Last month I turned qbaka in for running naked in the mall (3 points). In March I broke stealth_fox's X-Box (-12 points). Last Wednesday I put money in lochoko's expired parking meter (14 points).

Overall, I've been naughty (-118 points). For Christmas I deserve a moldy sandwich!

Nightmare

Read the rules completely before starting to play NIGHTMARE.
Creating the Perfect Atmosfear
NIGHTMARE is best played at night. Dim the lights or design your own eerie ATMOSFEAR.

The volume on your TV set MUST be turned up as loud as possible to maximize the game play. The VHS tape has been recorded in HI-FI and, if your video machine has a HI-FI switch, ensure that it is on. If your VCR is connected to a stereo system, use your system for additional sound.
The Object of the Game
NIGHTMARE is a board game controlled by a video tape. Once you insert the tape in your VCR and press PLAY, the game begins, it is a race against time and against the game's host, THE GATEKEEPER. Once you press PLAY, you cannot PAUSE or REWIND the tape. THE GATEKEEPER considers it "cheating" and wins the game by default.

The aim of the game is to collect all 6 of your character's keys and then race to the center of the board; the NIGHTMARE square. You must land on the NIGHTMARE square by exact roll, wait your turn and attempt to roll a 6. When you roll a 6, take the top NIGHTMARE card. if it's not your greatest fear, race to the VCR machine and press STOP to win!

But once the tape reaches 60:00 minutes, THE GATEKEEPER wins!

Setting up Nightmare
Players should be seated in a semicircle, facing the screen.

Sort, shuffle and place the TIME, FATE and CHANCE cards on the board.

Sort, shuffle and place the six sets of keys off to one side of the board — the six black keys in one pile, 6 red in another, etc.

Place the coin on the board. Players will be required to "toss" the coin at various stages during the game.

Each player should take a NIGHTMARE card and, on the blank side using the marking pencil, write their GREATEST FEAR; spiders, snakes, heights, etc. Do not reveal your fear to the other players.

Collect, shuffle and place these cards on the center square face down. (The NIGHTMARE cards can be "erased" and used over again.)

Place the 6 playing pieces and the 6 numbered discs into the bag. Each player then takes a turn to draw out a playing piece and a disc. Slot the disc into the base of the playing piece. If less than 6 players are playing, return the remaining play pieces, discs and keys to the tray.

Now, each player has a character and a number and will be playing for their own character's set of matching colored keys. For example, if you are HELLIN, the poltergeist, you will be playing for the purple keys marked HELLIN. You can only collect your own character's keys.

Place your playing piece on the gravestone marked with your character's name. If you are HELLIN, place your piece on the gravestone marked HELLIN.

This becomes your gravestone and you should watch it throughout the game, for if an opponent lands on your gravestone, you may have FATE cards or KEYS which can be used against that player.
Keys
Each character has 6 keys. Each key gives you a specific power and the more keys you collect, the more powerful you become. For example, if you collect a key which releases you from the BLACK HOLE, you can use it over and over again without returning it unlike some FATE cards which can only be used once.

Keys are awarded by THE GATEKEEPER and can also be won off the board. For example, if you are number 6 and you land on a gravestone marked "Take a key if you are 6", you can collect a key.
Chance
Keys can also be won from CHANCE. If you are lucky, you could collect both halves of a key. if you match, return both cards to the bottom of the pack and take a key.

There are other chances to win a key. For example, you may get a card which reads; If you are Hellin and your number is 6, toss the coin.

If you are Hellin but your number is 3, this card is useless and should be returned to the back of the pack.

Fate
FATE cards provide you with power or protection from your opponents.

Most FATE cards will require you to toss the coin if an opponent lands on your gravestone. You should wait for your turn to come around before tossing the coin. Toss the coin before you roll the die and move your playing piece.
Time
Once the game begins, a counter will appear on the screen and begin ticking away the minutes and seconds. The timer will run from 00:00 to 60:00. The TIME CARDS relate to the time on the screen. Only return a TIME CARD to the back of the pack if the time shown has expired. if not, wait for the time to appear on the screen and then activate the card immediately even if it's not your turn.

The Black Hole
There are two BLACK HOLE spaces on the board. If you land on a BLACK HOLE or are BANISHED to one by THE GATEKEEPER, you cannot play the game or roll the die until you are released. While you are in the BLACK HOLE, you are completely out of the game.

You can be released from the BLACK HOLE by THE GATEKEEPER, a KEY, a FATE card or by a player landing on the appropriate space on the board.
How to play and win Nightmare
Each player starts the game from his or her character's gravestone and moves in a clockwise direction around the outside circle of stones. Each gravestone, or part of a stone, is counted as a square, even unmarked ones. Multiple players may occupy a stone.

If you land on a stone marked TIME, FATE or CHANCE, take a card from the top of the pack. If you land on one of the BLACK HOLES, you cannot play until released.

The aim of the game is to collect all 6 of your keys. Only when you have all 6 keys can you leave the outside trail of stones and begin to make your way to the NIGHTMARE square in the center of the board via one of the 4 paths leading to the middle.

To land on NIGHTMARE, you must roll an exact number. If you are 3 stones away, you must roll a 3 — or less — to move.

If you are on the path leading to the middle of the board and lose one of your 6 keys, you must return to your gravestone and attempt to win the key back.

When you have landed on the NIGHTMARE square, you must wait your turn and then try to roll a 6. Once you have rolled a 6, take the top NIGHTMARE card from the pack. If it is not your Greatest Fear, race immediatley to the VCR machine and press STOP to win.

However, if it is your fear, you are out of the game. If you share the same fear as another opponent, you are also out of the game.

Remember! NIGHTMARE is a race against not only your opponents but THE GATEKEEPER and if the timer reaches 60:00 minutes, he has won the game!
The Gatekeeper
THE GATEKEEPER "hosts" the game. If he calls your number or your color or catches you just about to have a turn, you must answer "YES, MY GATEKEEPER" and then listen carefully to the task he sets you.

If you fail to answer him in time, he can become extremely angry. So always answer his questions immediately.

THE GATEKEEPER will also call for the youngest player — "young one" — and the oldest player — "old one". If he wants to know your middle name and you don't have one, use your surname!

If he demands that you "roll a 6" before you can play again, you must wait for your turn to come around before rolling the die.

Players can only move around the board when THE GATEKEEPER is not on the screen! When THE GATEKEEPER appears, everybody must stop and listen carefully to what he says because if you miss something, you cannot PAUSE or REWIND the tape.

Now.... Turn the lights down, turn the volume up and press PLAY.

Theme Nights and Team Games
NIGHTMARE can also be played with 3 to 6 teams of 2 players. One player answers THE GATEKEEPER, rolls the die and moves the playing piece while the other player guards their gravestone, tosses the coin and activates the TIME, FATE, and CHANCE cards.
For a Theme Night, each player should be given a character's name in advance and should come dressed for the part. The player should then play that piece but draw their number prior to the game.

like today wasnt bad enough

Well we just sat down to dinner not long ago. I finnished early as "eddie and the cruisers 2" was playing (cant stand the movie). Well I asked about my car and of course roger gets all pissy. I have remained calm and plesant through this whole thing, so i think a few questions where well within reason. Anyway, my dad says he was thinking about getting a 30 temp plate for the grand prix (my b-day present this year, which I have yet to drive) so that we would have enough cars till the lumina got fixed. Well I asked if the power seat got fixed yet (as I cant drive it till the seat gets moved, wont fit) and he said no. Well I said that cant drive it then and he tells me that he didnt plan on me driving it in the first place, he was going to drive it and I could use his P.O.S. car that freaks me out (he didnt call it a pos car that freaks me out but it dose). Its just how I knew this whole thing would go sence they gave it to me on my b-day. Dad had never intended on letting me have it. He likes it so hes gonna keep it (not that he said he is but he will, as the past has come to show) and use it. Its just the way he works. I just knew this would happen. Cus once he starts using it he wont give it up. And in the mean time I'm gonna be driving his POS and be freakin out all over the place. ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR!! ... hope everyone else is having a better day. Oh, I also forgot to bring dryer sheets to the cleaners. foowy.

It seems like the fates where agenst me again today. I woke up, started some laundry, had a few tootsir rolls. Kinda in a good mood. Turns out my little brothers court case went really really really well. Good for him. so, seems good so far yes? Well it turns out that he took my car to OTC, didnt ask mind you, which wasnt to big of a deal. Sept that on the way home from OTC he hit a dirt road grater....... WTF?!?!?!? How do you hit one of those things? There massive. Needless to say the front of my car isnt looking so good. One of the headlights is broked, the bumper is in my trunk, the hood might need to be replaced (for the 3rd time thanks to roger/dad), something about some shock or spring is bent.... blagh. He got REAL lucky she didnt want to report it (as nothing happened to the grater) cus he would be totaly F'ed. but yeah, now that my car is frelled up I dont know how I'm gonna get the the laundy mat in order to dry my stuff. Have to wait till my dad gets home and drive his car.

Well I went to work today and got in trouble for my blue hair. Oddly enough I wouldnt have thought it a problem sence I had asked my CSM's and they all said there was no problem. So now they want me to change it. I'm going into work tommarow (or really today I guess) with a wig that my most beloved pretend ex-wife has given me. I really hope we can make it look good. the wig it self is great but its a girls wig. my mom is great at cutting hair, so I just hope it wont go to waste (I love you sandy!!!). The only person who didnt like it was my store manager, everyone else loved it. at least 85% of my guests where talking to me about and they loved it. Alot of people where telling me (including some of my co-workers) to fight it cus some other girls who work there have odd color hair. Why is it me that has to change? They said that they made the girls change there hair to but I havnt seen it. So if the wig dosnt work I am going black, as what else can I cover blue with. I like my co-workers alot more after today, they all seem to really care... odd but nice. So wish me luck cus if they give me shit tommaorw I maybe back out on the job market. I nearly quit today I was so mad, but I need the $$$. lol, fate is a crule and twisted thing.

Well Dan just left. I had givin him about 4 1/2 hour massage. All the problems where fixed really quick but I just keep going, I need to get some good practice in as its been a while. I hope he made it home okay... He turned the wrong way out of my drive way. I wish he had a cell phone. Oh well I am sure he will be just fine... I hope. :)

Well after a nice and painless (not really) work day I went to karls. I was supposed to call him before I left but for some reason my phone dosnt have any audio. I cant hear anything, games sound effects or most important the people who call me. But they can hear me. It was funny jordan called and so I was just like "hey jordan sorry but my phone sucks and I cant hear you, I get off work at 10:30 and will be going to karls after that. bye". So he thought it was my voice mail message. kinda funny. Well karl and I watched an ep. of shaman king, been a while sence I last saw that. Then after leslie showed up we played the game of life. I endded with $3,745,000. Leslie had $1,700,000. an karl had something but dont know what, he just didnt want to count it. Anyway, I was shocked that I won, dont uslay win board games. Well after that was sat around and waited for jordan to arive. He had this video of his final and we watched it while I gave him a massage. After that was done sean finaly made it. He brought twister with him and karl/leslie played a game. Then sean wanted to join in so I just started shouting out random directions and they followed them. Karl was the first to fall but I guess he had been cheating alot anyway, as he was resting his butt on the floor. In his downfall he took out sean, who had it the hardest but was doing just fine. So Leslie won. Then they decided to play Muchkin, Sean and karl that is. Leslie was sitting with htem and reading I think. I was still working out all of jordans stress. But then I got tierd and stopped the massage. We went and raided Karls room to try and finds something fun, but no dice. So we gave up and watched some tv/anime till around 4:30am when I left. so all in all we had some fun. yay us.

PS: I dont want to go to work. Oh and I hope everything went well with Dan yesterday as he had something for the A.F.

Well I was talking to Nick (brother) today about the shit that happened. As I had thought misundertandings might have happened. It still dosnt change the hurt. Most of all from one source that I found most disheartening. I know that it shouldnt be so bad, but its been a while sence I have hurt like this. Maybe I should just continue like it never happened. who knows. pain itself is hard to forget.
